dBs Institute is a degree-level creative institute for musicians, vocalists, producers and sound engineers, home to out-of-this world recording studios and a live venue most students only dream of working in.

Our basement is home to dBs Institute, one of the UK's leading specialists in music technology, sound and performance education and training.
Offering a unique University experience, this cutting-edge education hub is a place where musicians, sound engineers, producers and creatives get the practical means to challenge industry conventions and break new creative boundaries. At the forefront of sound and audio education for more than 20 years, dBs Institute delivers a diverse and flexible range of music, sound and performance undergraduate degrees, with further options for postgraduate study.
The New Century campus houses seven production suites and recording studios, plus a live room, recording booths, rehearsal rooms, performance space and a Dolby Atmos suite. There's a multi-functional Pro Suite featuring the Neve Genesys mixing console, perfect for critical listening, recording and mixing workshops. Students get one-to-one tuition on their instrument or voice, and access to New Century's live venue upstairs gives them real-world experience performing at the heart of the music and events industry.
