THE HALL

New Century Hall is an exquisitely restored open-plan events hall for parties, conferences, gigs, exhibitions, conventions, private dinners and more. The venue can hold up to 1,300 people.

The careful renovation of the Hall allowed for a number of the original mid-century features to remain. These include the sprung maple dance floor, wooden panelling and original stage design & architecture. The Hall boasts a restored ‘disco ceiling’ & lighting installation, creating a responsive and immersive environment for all occasions.

New Century Hall was originally a dancehall in the 1960s, hosting acts including none other than The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Tina Turner & The Bee Gees. It was embraced in the 1980s by the Manchester ‘Mad-chester’ scene & New Century fostered such local talent as The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays.

The venue has a flexible layout that can cater for all Private Hire & Event needs, due to a state-of-the-art sound system, production and lighting facilities.

THE KITCHEN

Enjoy some of the best food and drink Manchester has to offer in a place that oozes the same mid-century charm of its sister venue upstairs. New Century Kitchen boasts five independent vendors, from five differing cultures. We like to call it the home of the picky eater.

The venue is available for exclusive private Hire, half venue hire or we can curtain off a section for you smaller groups & can accommodate up to 600 Guests.
You’ll find everything from steak to pizza to plant based dishes on offer from our independent kitchens.

We have a large central bar and hidden private bar, which both serve a wide range of beverages until late with DJs and live acts providing the entertainment on weekends.

dBs – our state-of-the-art Manchester campus – is located in the basement of New Century. Home to one of the UK’s leading specialists in music technology and games development, dBs is committed to providing the highest quality further education to students with wide aspirations.

dBs boasts industry-grade teaching facilities providing private spaces for hire. These are the perfect additions to your event for breakout spaces, brand activations and can be utilized for networking purposes & even stand up comedy/podcast & talks.

Our 40-seat lecture theatre is where you will engage in seminars, discussions and guest lectures; and it is equipped with a 2.1 PMC speaker system, 4K projector and screen, and live streaming setup.

RECORDING STUDIO

A multi-functional space designed for critical listening, recording and mixing demonstrations.

dBs is physically linked to the venue via 2 x 8 OM4 optic fibre cables, which allows the transfer of multi-channel audio for broadcast, live recording and multi-track recording.

New Century is located in the heart of Manchester’s NOMA district and is a stone’s throw away from the Shudehill Bus and Tram stop, as well as Manchester Victoria Train station.

Our location is easily accessible by all public transport, and we are within walking distance from Manchester Piccadilly, Oxford Road, Salford Central, and Deansgate train stations.
