Following two years of training in Japan as a sushi chef, Benjie moved to the UK and joined Yo Sushi where he was responsible for training all the chefs for their UK expansion programme. However Benjie always had the ambition of being his own boss and in 2018 took the plunge and with the help of his wife Flora and long term friend Hyacinth they opened their first small takeaway in Wilmslow. The family group recognised that there was a growing demand for good quality Japanese food, in particular sushi with no one fulfilling the requirement.
The business was a phenomenal success with customers travelling from miles around for fresh sushi . They quickly expanded and now have 6 restaurants around the North West however this is the first time they will have a space right in the heart of Manchester.
They are incredibly excited to be a part of the New Century family and to share their love of sushi to a new clientele.
